What can the AfD still learn from the FPÖ? I mean, the FPÖ has already been in government, which the AfD hasn’t yet. What can the AfD still learn from that?
Alice Weidel: Well, I think, above all, the aspect — I also mentioned it in my speech today — of going through, the lows and the highs, above all going through the difficult times and still standing together, simply carrying on even when you take a knock, always getting back up, always getting back up no matter what happens.
And, I think Kickl, Herbert Kickl today, put it very, very well, and it is also my own creed: when things aren’t going so well, we must stand together, we simply have to keep going for our country, for the people, for our voters, because they deserve it.
Because we as a party, we have to fall in behind, behind the people, fall in behind them. And that is also my firm conviction: to finally make good policy for our country, for Germany, again, because that is what the people deserve.

Qu’est-ce que l’AfD peut encore apprendre du FPÖ ? Je veux dire, le FPÖ a déjà été au gouvernement, ce que l’AfD n’a pas encore été. Qu’est-ce que l’AfD peut encore apprendre de ça ?
Alice Weidel: Eh bien, je pense, avant tout, l’aspect — je l’ai également mentionné dans mon discours aujourd’hui — de traverser, les bas et les hauts, avant tout de traverser les moments difficiles et de rester unis malgré tout, de simplement continuer même quand on prend un coup, de toujours se relever, de toujours se relever quoi qu’il arrive.
Et, je pense que Kickl, Herbert Kickl aujourd’hui, l’a très, très bien formulé, et c’est aussi ma propre conviction : quand les choses ne vont pas si bien, nous devons rester unis, nous devons simplement continuer pour notre pays, pour le peuple, pour nos électeurs, parce qu’ils le méritent.
Parce que nous en tant que parti, nous devons nous mettre derrière, derrière le peuple, nous mettre derrière lui. Et c’est aussi ma ferme conviction : faire enfin une bonne politique pour notre pays, pour l’Allemagne, à nouveau, parce que c’est ce que le peuple mérite.
