Kobe Declercq : Vous avez dit que Donald Trump avait fait exploser la remigration dans le monde entier. L’Amérique est-elle en avance sur l’Europe sur ce point, ou est-elle en train de commettre les mêmes erreurs que l’Europe a déjà commises ?
Martin Sellner : Nous avons eu Greg Bovino ici, qui malheureusement n’est plus dans l’administration — un signal négatif. Je pense que l’Amérique a un très bon avantage grâce à sa liberté d’expression, parce qu’elle dispose d’un empire médiatique très développé, et qu’elle a un lobbying très puissant. Mais je pense aussi que l’Europe a beaucoup d’atouts. Et je pense que l’un des plus grands avantages que nous ayons en Europe, c’est que nous avons ces petits États, comme le Portugal, comme l’Autriche. Et dans ces États, il est tout à fait possible de remporter une victoire rapide et précoce et de vraiment faire la preuve de concept que la remigration fonctionne vraiment. Donc je pense que nous avons tous les deux nos faiblesses, nos forces — et c’est l’une des meilleures courses, des courses aux armements, entre l’Europe et l’Amérique : qui réalisera la remigration en premier.

Kobe Declercq: You said that Donald Trump exploded the world’s remigration worldwide. Is America ahead of Europe on this, or is it making the same mistakes Europe already made?
Martin Sellner: We had Greg Bovino here, who unfortunately is no longer in the administration — a negative sign. I think America has a very good advantage because of their freedom of speech, because they have a very well-developed media empire, and they have very strong lobbying. But I also think that Europe has a lot of assets. And I think one of the biggest advantages we have in Europe is we have these small states, like Portugal, like Austria. And in those states, it’s very possible to have a quick and early win and really show the proof of concept that remigration really works. So I think we both have our weaknesses, our strengths — and it’s one of the best races, arms races, between Europe and America: who will realize remigration first.

Aber ich denke auch, dass Europa viele Stärken hat. Und ich denke, einer der größten Vorteile, die wir in Europa haben, ist, dass wir diese kleinen Staaten haben, wie Portugal, wie Österreich. Und in diesen Staaten ist es durchaus möglich, einen schnellen und frühen Sieg zu erringen und wirklich den Machbarkeitsnachweis zu erbringen, dass Remigration wirklich funktioniert. Also ich denke, wir haben beide unsere Schwächen, unsere Stärken — und es ist eines der besten Rennen, ein Wettrüsten, zwischen Europa und Amerika: wer die Remigration zuerst verwirklichen wird.
